Working hours and duty shift hours
A full-time taxi driver registered with Chung Shing Taxi can start renting a taxi within two working days. Substitute drivers can also start within two working days. A full-time driver rents the same taxi for the long-term and works for six days a week (non-public holidays). Substitute drivers cover for a full-time driver and he/she is assigned a different taxi each time. The number of working days for a substitute driver is more flexible. In general, there are four types of taxi shifts:
- Morning shift (from 6:00am to 5:00pm)
- Evening shift (from 5:00pm to 6:00am)
- Special shift (24 hours，no restriction)
- Substitute shift (substitute for a full-time driver)
